The biological diversity issues inherent within Eastern Black Sea and throughout Turkey, particularly the fundamental contexts around the questions of ‘what is environment?’, ‘what are environmental problems?’, ‘how environmental preservation may be achieved?’, ‘what are our responsibilities towards protection of nature?’ etc. were explained to new generations who will have a voice on such issues in the future.
In line with this purpose, contacts were made with the governorships and national education directors of Artvin, Rize, Trabzon, Gümüşhane, Bayburt and Giresun provinces. Two pilot schools shall be defined in each province. These schools shall be primary education institutions to be determined mutually with the national education directors.
