The objectives of the ecodialogue project are, to provide consciousness on the issue of eco-tourism and environment to the facilities and local tour guides, within the boundaries of Ayder Plateau and Fırtına Valley and Kaçkar Mountains National Park, and to establish a sustainable infrastructure with a permanent system, motivating the participation of Civil Society Organisations-Public, in the area of civil society ecotourism. The target groups are the Forest and Environment Organisations' Directorate personnel, tourism City Directorates, local tour guides without a certificate, and approximately 120 organisations. Ecodialogue project, by organising events such as preparing training material to provide consciousness of the participants in the area of ecotourism and environment, by organising training seminars for 70 participants, designing and preparing an Internet website to contain all the details of the project's training program and other details, doing a SWOT analysis and producing a matrix, in which the future opportunities and threats with the weak and strong points of touristic destinations within the boundaries of Ayder Plateau and Fırtına Valley and Kaçkar Mountains National Park will be established, aims to create maintainable field of business activity in ecotourism, and strengthening the cooperation with the local official authorities on local administrative issues by protecting the structure of the area.
Due to its being a guiding method widely used, a SWOT analysis will be done, in which the future opportunities and threats with the weak and strong points of touristic destinations of Ayder Plateau and Fırtına Valley's tourism potential will be determined, and by producing a matrix, proposals for the future will be made. These proposals will be presented to Ministry of Culture and Tourism. From the point of view of its scope and its way of implementation, this work can be evaluated as an attempt related to the development of Ayder Plateau and Fırtına Valley in the tourism literature.
