The aim of the EKOCESKI Project is to build a sustainable ecotourism infrastructure and an NGO-Public cooperation system supporting the civilian public to take an active role in ecotourism decision making mechanism by making the tourism establishments located within Uzungol and Special Environment Protection Boundaries conscious of ecotourism and environment. The EKOCESKI Project whose target public is the approximately 90 institutions, local tour guides without certificates, province management of tourism and the personnel of the management of forestry and environment, aims at creating sustainable career areas in ecotourism and supporting the economical development while protecting the local structure and improving the quality of ecotourism policies by preparing the education material, organizing seminars to which 80 people will attend, establishing a permanent advisory committee with the participation of public and NGO bodies in order to make the participants conscious of the ecotourism and environment.
The trainings which are the most important activity of the Project are going to be held with groups of 20-22 people. Each group will receive intensified training while staying at a hotel organized for the trainings on the Uzungol Plateau for 3 days, 8 hours a day. At the beginning of each training program, an informative meeting is going to be held. The trainings are going to be held for 4 groups of 20-22 people, 80 people in total. The trainings will be repeated in specified periods in 3 months.
Besides, as a Project component; education sets for the Project trainings, informative booklets and brochures, ecotourism training program, Project announcement poster and Project Final Report will be prepared and distributed.
